Choral Eucharist in Praia da Luz
Penny and Harry Buxton were attracted to the openness of the church of Nossa Senhora da Luz (Our Lady of the Light) on their recent trip to the Algarve. The church is not only the home of the thriving Roman Catholic community but is also host to the Anglican population of Praia da Luz, St Vincent's Anglican Church.

The beautiful building, 'open' daily from early to late, stands as a beacon in the centre of this quiet Portuguese village. Holiday makers are welcome to attend and Penny and Harry took up the offer and attended the 12 noon Choral Eucharist on the 7th of Sept. The church was full, the service moving and the large choir excellent.

On the third Friday of every month at 21:30 the parishioners meet in church for a vigil praying for Madeleine and all the other children missing from home. Madeleine was not the first nor the last child abducted. The problem is a huge one and is not going away. Please join with the congregation and pray for their safe return.
